I get a flu shot every year.  The practice was encouraged when I was pregnant with my daughter back in 2009/2010 and I have carried it through since.  My whole family gets the flu shot.  We do this every year, even though Birdy hates it and the little Guy is starting to become wary of visits to “the lady” (aka the pediatrician).

There are people in the “vulnerable population” living in my house, namely my two year old son and me, living with type 1 diabetes.  My husband and my daughter get the flu shot to protect themselves and also to help protect my son and I.  Herd immunity.

Get your flu shot.  If you aren’t sure where you can get one, this tool from the CDC might help.
