You Say You Want a Resolution.
(And based on that title, this song is stuck in my head for the rest of the decade.) Welcome to 2010, my friends. I couldn't be more excited for a new decade, with the promise of GOOD STUFF TO COME!!
Chris and I were talking about resolutions last night - about things we want to accomplish in 2010 and what we'd like to do in the next twelve months - but I don't often make the "list o' resolutions." Setting goals for myself is one thing, but making them part of a New Year's Resolution campaign makes me feel cheesy.
... but then I realized that after almost crying with emotion when the ball dropped last night and then again when the baby kicked me in the belly button around one in the morning, I am cheesy. So I'm making a goal list for 2010. Some goals are private and won't be shared here on SUM, but there are a few I'd like to make myself held accountable for. (Hey - it works sometimes!)
Resolved!
- Take on the Diabetes 365 project again for 2010.
- Answer emails more efficiently (I'm already laughing at this one, but I need to try.)
- Become a more active blog reader (I need to leave COMMENTS!)
- Learn to knit.
- Get back in shape after BSparl arrives.
- Take time to appreciate my friends and family, instead of burying my face in the computer for hours on end.
But my most important resolution for 2010?
- Have a healthy pregnancy that ends with a happy little baby girl, safe in my arms.
It's going to be a great year. And I'm really looking forward to sharing it with all of you. Happy New Year!!
(Siah, please get out of the Christmas tree. We need to take that down today. I hope she made some resolutions to be less annoying in 2010.)

Since you already are great at crocheting, knitting will be a snap for you!

What are you talking about? You are good about answering emails. Scratch that one of the list. Keep us posted on how the resolutions go.

I'm giving strong consideration to tackling Diabetes365 again. I failed miserably (after about 10 days!) the last time I tried. I've taken a shot for today, so we'll see.
Good Luck with tackling your goals.

2010 will be a fabulous year for you and Chris. You do realize that every resolution will change to 'I will try and get a shower today' once GSparl arrives, don't you?! Hee hee hee.

Good thoughts for the New Year, Kerri! I'm glad I can share some of the best things with you, even if it's just through your blog. :) Can't wait for the little one. Stay healthy.

I love the Diabetes 365 project. I wish I knew how to join it!

I think it is safe to say that you can scratch everything off the list except the one about having a healthy baby. Because once that baby comes, you won't have time for, or interest in, anything else for a long time!

Well, if you are going to have a song stuck in your head for a whole decade, a Beatles song would be the way to go!! :) You've got a great list of resolutions there. I need to work on the whole blog comments / email / friend thing myself - I've really let those things laps as 2009 wound up.
And as for the knitting, I'm still more than willing to help you with that goal!!! We WILL get together soon for some catching up and some yarny fun!
Happy New Years to you, Chris, BSparl and the kitties. I miss you so much, but I'll be better at keeping in touch in 2010!

Kerri,
Now that you're up in MA, how close are you to the NH border? I work at a yarn shop in Plaistow NH (right on the border with Haverhill MA), and we have knitting classes. Let me know if you'd like details!

I'm new to your blog and to diabetes.
There is so much to read here.
I'll be visiting.

You've got some great goals! I have decided to call them "goals" not "resolutions." Goals are things that are measurable and reachable. Vague resolutions like "lose weight" and "spend more time with the family" are almost certain to fail. Being more specific helps to keep me on track. Focus on that baby and everything else will fall in line where it may. ;)

Want some company on d365 round 2? I'll give it another shot! No baby bump spicing up my pictures though :(
