Update on BSparl.
It's been a long, wonderful day at Joslin, and I have a lot to say, but for now, Chris and I are going to decorate our Christmas tree, drink sugar-free hot chocolate with marshmallows, and grin about our daughter, who is due on May 4th.
A little baby girl. I love her so much already.
I couldn't feel happier right now if I tried.

Dammit. Every time I read one of these baby posts of yours, I get all weepy. I should just keep a box of tissues at hand. Or shove one up my sleeve, so I can start impersonating a grandmother. Gah!

I was thinking girl! Best wishes! (When Marc found out No. 2 was a girl he said, "I'm going to have to get a bigger gun." Men are so protective of their little girls.)

Congrats to you and your family, Kerri! I have 4 daughters, and I promise you that little girl will wrap you around her little finger SO fast and you'll be so grateful for it. There's nothing like being a mommy and it doesn't change, no matter how old they are. I didn't believe it myself until one night I found myself holding my baby and sobbing, "there's no way my mom loved me like I love this child" and I was wrong. Even your vision of your parents is about to change. Blessings to you, your hubby and your little one.

Congratulations! I am so excited for you!!!!! Someone mentioned the little bugger wrapping you around her little finger? Ummm...beware--it will be her daddy she has wrapped! We have two girls (4 & 7) and two boys (11 & 14). Those girls can get just about anything out of their daddy...ask their brothers. :) "Daddy (in the sweetest little voices),can I please have..." I had the two boys first, so when the first girl came along, I wasn't sure I knew what to do with her. Well...I was painting toenails by the time she was 6-months old and piggytails by the time she was one. You will have sooooo much fun! :)
Posted by: Carrie | December 2, 2009 07:55 AM
Yeah!
I think my husband almost fainted when he found out that we were having a girl. He didn't like the idea of having to worry about having a teenage daughter and boys around in the years to come.
But, I optimistically reminded him of the fact that girls are much better babysitters. And now I love her because she mothers my son almost as much as I do!
Congratulations! They are so much fun! Oh, and I was right! I knew it was a girl!
Posted by: Traci | December 2, 2009 08:21 AM

I was thinking if BSparl was a girl, I'd have to get over to my Mom's to retrieve some Annie's Attic crochet patterns I got some years ago for some adorable frilly "bibs". Still don't know when I'll get back to Mom's...
