I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for being such a support to so many of us. I was diagnosed 5 years ago at the age of 24 with T1 and have struggled to be "out" with my diabetes. So, to raise my voice today, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Laura, I'm 29 years old, and I have TI diabetes. In order to take charge, I've pledged to ride 45 miles in the Tour de Cure. Not sure how my butt will take it, but I'm doing it :) If anyone would like to donate, proceeds go to the ADA. Thanks again for helping me to make my voice a little bit stronger.

Thanks Kerri for getting this together. I emailed every contact through my local JDRF, bought shirts, and am blogging.
This community wouldn't be the same without you.

Thank you for organizing this day Kerri. I was a little late to the party, but I yelled as loud as I could today to try to make up for it.

Again, thanks. Writing this post made me realize why I must never stop yelling.
